The first Revolution fair trade shop opened in Tavistock, Devon in July 2006. The vision shared by owner David Stolton and manager Kelvin Shillabeer was a simple one: let's make it easier for people to buy everyday things in a more ethical way.

The picturesque market town of Tavistock was the perfect place, having a number of speciality shops that attract shoppers to browse, and its status as a fair trade town showed that the local and visiting consumers wanted to support fair trade. So from the outset, Revolution has stocked a wide range of fairly traded goods, such as food and drink, clothing, jewellery and homeware.

In January 2007, the online ethical shop was launched, and now carries a growing range of fair trade and ethical products to customers around the UK and across the world.
